3 Stages of Eyelash Growth
Anagen: (active growth phase) the eyelash is still attached to the dermal papilla (blood supply). lashes are growing and last about 4-6 weeks.
Catagen: (transitional phase) the eyelashes are fully grown. stops growing and the follicle shrinks. this last 2-3 weeks.
Telogen: (resting phase) this phase can last over 100 days before the eyelash falls out and releases from the follicle.
Our eyelashes are continuously growing. Some lashes may take longer to grow, especially if you have interrupted the growth cycle in someway. For example, if you pull an eyelash out, you’ll be without that eyelash for a while before it grows back. The lash has to finish its full growth cycle from anagen to telogen. Thus, Potentially creating a less fuller look for a while.
